Quaker Houghton Gum Solvent GSC Solvent Based Cleaner For Removal of Oxidised Mineral Oil Deposits
Quaker Houghton GUM SOLVENT GSC combines a blend of solvents to dissolve and disperse gums, varnishes and sludge created from the oxidation of mineral oils.
All mineral based products are susceptible to oxidation leading to the creation of gums, surface varnish, sludge and corrosive organic acids. If left these oxidation products will lead to a reduction in performance of hydraulic and similar systems and if left will accelerate the deterioration of fresh hydraulic and lubricating oils.

Quaker Houghton GUM SOLVENT GSC should be added to the hydraulic oil or lubricating oil system at 5% of the total volume _ The system should be left operating as normal for 100 -150 hours before the system is drained and refilled with fresh hydraulic or lubricating oil.
Following the application of GUM SOLVENT GSC all system filters should be removed and cleaned before fresh hydraulic or lubricating oil is added to the system.

STORAGE
Please refer to section 7 of Safety Data Sheets for handling and storage information, including product shelf life. Product should be stored under cover in clean, dry conditions and protected from frost Recommended storage temperature is usually at ambient or below unless otherwise specified. Use stock in delivery rotation.
