BP Energol THB 32 Turbine Oil
The Energol THB range has been developed to meet the lubrication requirements for turbines and turbocompressors where a mineral-based oil is required. The additive treatment ensures good anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and demulsification properties, and the absence of foaming in service.
Energol THB turbine oils are formulated using highly refined mineral oils, with selected additives to improve their inherent high oxidation stability and to protect against corrosion of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Energol THB oils are primarily intended for the lubrication of gas & steam turbines where the base oils used have been selected to give the requisite water separation characteristics as well as providing resistance to foaming and air entrainment, all essential properties for this demanding application Energol THB grades can also be used as a general purpose rust & oxidation (R&O) lubricant for compressors, hydraulic systems, gearboxes and circulatory systems where high oxidation stability performance is required but with no demand for antiwear performance. Energol THB is fully compatible with nitrile, silicone and fluropolymers seal materials.
BP Energol THB 32 Turbine Oil Product Advantages:
- Excellent oxidation stability provides trouble-free operation for extended periods in aggressive environments where heat, air, moisture and metals can all contribute to oil degradation.
- Good foam and air release properties mean the product meets the requirements of most turbine builders.
- Excellent water separation and corrosion inhibition mean reduced downtime through prolonged lubricant life and increased equipment reliability.
Energol THB grades meet the requirements of:
