Castrol Tribol WX Spray Silicone Lubricant Spray
Castrol Tribol™ WX Spray (previously called Optisil™ WX Sray) is a wax-like silicone synthetic lubricant spray, which forms an almost transparent dry lubricating film with good adhesion.
It has good compatibility with non-metallic machine elements or materials and outstanding separation ability for tools and workpieces made out of plastics.
Tribol WX Spray can be used in many applications as shown below.
- Textile Industry – Plastic rollers and combs, grippers, bolts and rods of rapier looms.
- Paper and Wood Industries – Cut-off blades for paper and pulp, saw blades, transport chain guides, wooden rails (furniture industry) etc.
- Metal Working Industries – Rolling knives (extended service lives), trimming of sheet metal (ensures smooth, clean edges), cutting of soft metals, non-cutting shaping of special steels.
- Apparatus Engineering and Precision Mechanics – Guides of sliding surfaces, small gears (precision instruments, i.e. cameras, office equipment, food processing devices).

Before using the product, the vehicle’s maintenance guide should be checked. The product should not be stored at temperatures over 60°C. It should be kept away from sunlight, intense cold and extreme temperature fluctuations. If possible, the packaging should not be exposed to the elements. Otherwise, the drums should be laid horizontally to avoid any contamination from water and to prevent the product’s label from rubbing off.
All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to avoid the possible ingress of water and damage to drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, or exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
