Castrol Tection DD Monograde 40
VISCOSITY - SAE 40
Diesel engine oil
Castrol Tection DD Monograde 40 is a high-performance trunk piston diesel engine lubricant, especially formulated to meet the latest performance requirements for General Motors Detroit Diesel 2-stroke engines operating with distillate fuels up to 0.5% sulphur content.
Castrol Tection DD Monograde 40 is a blend of high-quality paraffinic base oils inhibited against oxidation and corrosion and combined with detergent, dispersant and anti-wear additives. This combination ensures minimum deposit formation on pistons, combustion chambers and exhaust valves, reduces mechanical and corrosive wear and provides protection against high and low temperature sludge formation, oxidation and rusting.
Castrol Tection DD Monograde 40 conforms to the API CF-2 performance specification. The low ash additive technology utilised in the formulation of Castrol DD 40 comfortably meets the Detroit Diesel level of 0.8% maximum required for the 149 series engine.
