Additive enhanced hydrocracked mineral oil for ammonia (R 717) refrigerating compressors.

• Lubrication of refrigeration compressors (reciprocating and screw) using ammonia as a
  refrigerant.
• Hydrocracked technology of base oils to improve oil drain interval.
• Field of application : evaporator temperature down to -30°C.

Total Lunaria NH 68 Refrigeration Compressor Oil Product Advantages:

• High resistance to oxidation in the presence of ammonia. Base oils and activation systems are specially selected to avoid the formation of black sludges (reaction between oil and ammonia).
• Low pour point, eliminating the risk of any residual lubricant freezing in the evaporator, thereby providing excellent heat exchange.
• Very high flash point given the low volatility of LUNARIA NH oils: oil consumption is reduced by 30 to 50 % compared with conventional oils.
• Good compatibility with common elastomers (chloroprene, NBR….).
• Warning: storage must be done in order to avoid the presence of water within the oil. Indeed, water could block the evaporator.

Before using the product, the vehicle’s maintenance guide should be checked. Oil changes should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The product should not be stored at temperatures over 60°C. It should be kept away from sunlight, intense cold and extreme temperature fluctuations. If possible, the packaging should not be exposed to the elements. Otherwise, the drums should be laid horizontally in order to avoid any contamination from water and to prevent the product’s label from rubbing off.

All packages should be stored under cover. Where outside storage is unavoidable drums should be laid horizontally to avoid the possible ingress of water and damage to drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C, or exposed to hot sun or freezing conditions.
