Castrol Iloform PS 104 is a water-soluble, forming paste, which does not contain inorganic fillers and is chlorine and heavy metal-free. It is specifically developed for medium-duty deep drawing operations. It is a blend of high-performance boundary lubricants, emulsifiers and corrosion inhibitors, in a fully solvent-refined paraffinic mineral oil.
Iloform PS 104 is specially formulated for use in single-die and progressive die presses for medium-duty deep drawing applications. It is suitable for use on steel, aluminium and aluminium alloys, copper and brass. Iloform PS 104 can be used as supplied or used diluted in water to a minimum concentration of 10%v/v oil to water, for less difficult operations. Forms a stable milky white emulsion in water.
Formulated on solvent-refined mineral oil. Does not contain hazardous aromatic constituents. Free from chlorine and heavy metals such as Barium. Lower disposal costs. Contains high-performance lubricity and anti-wear additives. Maximizes die life and provides an excellent surface finish. Reduces scrap and rework costs as well as minimizing costs associated with die re-polishing.
Can be used diluted in water, forming a stable milky emulsion. Economical in use and reduces product consumption
Non-filled and water-soluble, therefore easier to clean with water-based alkali cleaners. Versatile and multi-metal compatible, therefore offers potential for product consolidation.
