Description
The Energrease LS greases are lithium-based incorporating solvent-refined oils, They contain oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, which help to ensure long service life and a high level of protection for metal surfaces. These greases are water-resistant.

 

Applications
The Energrease LS grades are mainly intended for use in plain and roller bearings of all types and in all kinds of machinery under normal load conditions and within an operating temperature range -25 °C to +130 °C.
Energrease LS 3 is suitable for severe vibration conditions. Energrease LS 0 may be used in central lubrication systems as well as a lubricant in gears.

BP Transcal LT - Low temperature heat transfer oil

 

Description
Transcal LT is a high quality mineral oil combining low vapour pressure, and high levels of thermal stability, specific
heat and thermal conductivity with exceptional low temperature fluidity.

 

Applications
Transcal LT is recommended primarily for non pressurized closed liquid-phase heating systems that incorporate both heating and cooling branches (as, for example, where an exothermic or heat releasing reaction takes place).
The low temperature fluidity ensures that adequate circulation occurs in the coolest parts of the circuit.
The maximum recommended bulk-fluid temperature for Transcal LT is 250 °C, and the fluid also operates effectively in cooling systems down to bulk temperatures of -30 °C.
Before being commissioned, the system should be pressure tested for leaks and then thoroughly flushed with Transcal LT.
Water should never be used.
With the system flushed and drained, it should be filled with fresh Transcal LT. All air must be completely vented from the system before full temperature is imposed. For maximum efficiency, the heat transfer fluid should be circulated in conditions of turbulent flow. Care must be taken to ensure that bulk fluid temperature does not exceed 250 °C, as this could lead to degradation of the oil. Despite the excellent oxidation stability of Transcal LT various precautions must be taken to minimize exposure to air, especially if the temperature of the fluid in the expansion chamber exceeds 50 °C. A floating cover can be provided, or the oil can be blanketed with inert gas.

Description
Turbinol is a range of premium turbine oils based on specially selected mineral base oils and additives to obtain a very high degree of oxidation stability . In addition, they contain additives to protect metal surfaces against corrosion and to suppress foaming, whilst retaining good air release properties.

These oils have been formulated to be compatible with the components used in turbines and associated equipment and they contain an inhibitor to prevent catalytic acceleration of auto-oxidation of lubricant hydrocarbons by traces of metals. They are also zinc-free.

 

Applications
Turbinol oils can be used for the lubrication and cooling of bearings and gear boxes of steam, gas and water turbines and associated equipment, such as turbine governor systems, sealing oil systems, turbo-couplings as well as for the lubrication of turbo compressors.
The grades in this range are formulated to meet the demanding requirements of major turbine manufacturers and this is supported by extensive service experience. Turbinol grades fulfil the requirements of the following standards:

Description
A range of mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids conforming to the international classification ISO Type HM and offering a wide choice of viscosities.

Applications
