Description
A range of high-quality, lead-free EP oils having outstanding thermal stability and high load-carrying capacity.
The formulation provides excellent corrosion-protection, anti-foam characteristics, demulsibility and oxidation-resistance.
Very good viscosity characteristics ensure that starting torques are not excessive in cold conditions.
The additives are compatible with the ferrous and non-ferrous metals used in industrial gear units. The EP properties are provided by a sulphur-phosphorus additive

 

Applications
These oils are formulated for the circulatory and bath lubrication of spur, helical and worm-type industrial gears.

The Energol GR-XP oils meet the performance requirements of DIN 51 517 Part 3, AGMA 250.04 and US Steel 224.

Oil temperatures should not exceed 120 °C. In any system that incorporates electric heaters for effecting rapid warm-up, it is important to avoid high rates of heat input. Heat fluxes in excess of 15 kW/m2 (9.5 W/in2) are likely to cause separation of additives, and this would affect the oil's lubrication performance.

BP Energol HLP-HM 68 - High Performance Hydraulic Oil

 

Description
A range of mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids conforming to the international classification ISO Type HM and offering a wide choice of viscosities.
The properties of their solvent-refined base oils are enhanced by full additive treatment to minimize corrosion, oxidation, foaming and machinery wear.

 

Applications
Energol HLP -HM oils are formulated for highly stressed hydraulic systems where high levels of anti-wear performance are needed and meet filtration requirements of almost every hydraulic system (down to 6 micron filters). They are also suitable for other duties in which lubricants of high oxidation stability and lubrication performance are required, such as in lightly loaded gears, in some variable speed units and in bearings.

The HLP -HM range is fully compatible with the elastomers materials commonly used for static and dynamic seals, such as:

Description
The Energol THB range has been developed to meet the lubrication requirements for turbines and turbo compressors where a mineral-based oil is required.
The additive treatment ensures good anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion and demulsification properties, and absence of foaming in service.

 

Applications
The grades in this range meet the lubrication requirements of steam turbines, but are also suitable for gas turbines and compressors.
Energol THB is adequate for equipment where manufacturers specify or accept a TOST life of 4000 hours (to acidity level 2.0 mgKOH/g).

Description
The Energol LPT grades are refrigeration compressor lubricants formulated from highly refined naphtenic base oils for use in both large industrial and small domestic refrigeration units.

 

Applications
The Energol LPT range is formulated to function as lubricants, coolants as well as sealants in refrigerating compressors. They maintain good lubrication properties at the high temperatures reached during the compression phase and good fluidity at the low temperatures within the evaporators. Excellent lubrication of the moving parts in the compressor as well as recycling of the oil, entrained into the system by the refrigerant, are therefore ensured.
The chemical stability of the Energol LPT oils prevents them from reacting with the refrigerants used in refrigeration systems to form potentially disruptive breakdown products. All Energol LPT grades are suitable for use in systems using Ammonia (NH3) or halogenated hydrocarbons. They can also be used where good low temperature flow properties are required in the lubricant.

BP Enersyn LPS 68 - Synthetic Refrigeration Compressor Lubricant

 

Description
The lubricants in this range are formulated from blended alkylated benzene synthetic base stocks, and incorporate additives that give extended oil life and machine cleanliness when used in refrigerator compressors, particularly where ammonia is the refrigerant.
The oxidation stability is superior to that of mineral oils when used in air compressors.

 

Applications
The Enersyn LPS lubricants possess physical and chemical properties that are highly suited to modern refrigeration equipment. They are recommended for the reciprocating and rotary screw compressors employed in industrial refrigeration systems.

These grades are superior to conventional mineral oil refrigerator lubricants where evaporation temperatures are low (from -60 °C down to -100 °C) and where the refrigerants are of the critical fluorocarbon type (R13, R22 and R502).

They are also the preferred lubricants for ammonia compressors. Because the Enersyn LPS grades have low carbon forming tendencies, they are suitable for air compressors operating with high discharge air temperatures, thereby reducing the risk of fires and explosions.
